Le mot d'étapes:
En s'inspirant de l'architecture du lieu pour cette identité visuelle, Manual Creative propose une idée aussi simple que drôlement bien exécutée.
1. About the project
CCA (California College of the Arts) Architecture Division is an internationally recognized leader in architecture and interior design education. Its programs prepare students for creative practice where material innovation and formal experimentation meet social engagement and cultural collaboration. Through a focus on advanced digital technologies and material systems, design research and urban agency, CCA Architecture strives to develop the next generation of designers who will shape our future built environments.
Existing as a separate division within an art college, CCA Architecture Division needed to establish its own identity within the college and strengthen its communication materials aimed at various audiences – from prospective international students, to faculty, to visiting lecturers.
We developed a graphic identity and new program materials to match the program’s international status. At the heart of the identity is a reductive ‘A’ mark that directly references the A-frame architecture that is highly prominent in the college’s spacious atrium. The mark, which can be typed, also subtly references the digital nature of the program through its forward slash/back slash visual language.
Graphic systems, typography, and color palette are all designed to capture the vibrant, flexible, and experimental spirit of the division.
